■JAPAN : A NEW GENERATION■

2017年5月、1989年にタイの国立シルパコーン芸術大学で開催された日タイ交流展、「JAPAN : A NEW GENERATION　鈴木淳子・宮島達男展」の記録がタイの現代美術インスティテュートのアーカイヴに収録されました。
画像資料と、私のメッセージ、そしてPoshyananda氏（同氏が米コーネル大学からタイに帰国後のインタビューでした。同氏はその後タイの文化大臣に就任）がBANGKOK POST紙に寄せた、深い洞察力に満ちた生き活きとした評論文を紹介します。
タイで活躍するアーティストの方々が、これまでに最も影響を受けた展覧会と作品として、この展覧会と私の作品を挙げられたことから、今回の収録に至ったそうです。 たいへん光栄で幸せに思うと同時に、作品の力や私自身の活動軌跡を強烈に再認識させられ、非常に感慨を深く致しております。

The doument of the Japan-Thailand exchange exhibition, [JAPAN : A NEW GENERATION, Junko SUZUKI and Tatsuo MIYAJIMA] held in Silpakorn National Art University in Thailand in 1989 was recorded in the archive of Thai Contemporary Art Institute in May 2017. I hope you enjoy to find some image materials of this exhibition, my message, and alive and sympathetic article with deep insight by Mr. Poshyananda (This was an interview after he returned to Thailand from Cornell University in the US. He later became Thailand's Minister of Culture.) for BANGKOK POST.
